A look at the winners of the 2018 Houses Awards

The Houses Awards is one of the most prestigious architectural awards in Australia that honours the country’s creative talent. In its eighth year, the panel of jurors had the challenging task of judging the incredible 477 entries.

As with previous years, there were a number of categories including best New House under 200 m2,  Apartment or Unit and best Emerging Architecture Practice, there can only be one house of the year.

Winning the 2018 Houses Awards ‘Australian House of the Year is the sculpture form of Sydney’s Northern Beaches ‘Cabbage Tree House’ designed by Peter Stutchbury Architecture. The jury described the project as a “complete Australian house that authentically and poetically embraces its landscape setting.”

We’re thrilled Peter Sturchbury will join a panel of critics at the 2018 Glenn Murrcutt Masterclass held in the Eco Outdoor Waterloo showroom. Read more here
