Because not only is it 5 o’clock somewhere, its also Winter. In fact, while the whole southern hemisphere is frolicking in the sun we know there are those of you rugging up so here’s something to take the edge off.

We’ve discovered the most enjoyable Noble Maple Syrup that ticks just about every box you could hope to tick in a sucrosey condiment – comforting gooeyness with a hint of Tahitian vanilla all served up in a totally reusable hipster bottle.

We pulled together a few other choice ingredients to create a cocktail that warms you from the inside out – a mulled cider with a smidge of tropical. Let’s get toasty!

Grab these

  • 2 litres good-quality cider (we used Bulmers)
  • 3-4 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 vanilla pod, halved
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 4-5 tablespoons Noble Maple Syrup Tonic 2

Now do this

Heat the cider in a large pan over low heat for about three minutes. Throw in all of the spices and juices and turn the heat up to high so that you get a nice simmer going. Allow to bubble away for about 8 minutes. Add the maple syrup one tablespoon at a time, tasting to ensure it doesn’t get overly sweet.

Ladle into glasses and serve warm, it’s the perfect tasty way to warm up in these final chilly weeks.
