Tom Fereday
Designer Tom Fereday grew up in London, studying sculpture and graphic design at the Wimbledon School of Art before moving to Australia to complete an honours in Industrial Design at the University of Technology Sydney. He has collaborated with brands including Louis Vuitton, Alessi, Stellarworks and Herman Miller, and exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
While we’re now a global business, our roots are right here in Australia. So we love working with Australian designers and creatives, celebrating their authentic design and innovation. Tom was a natural choice. His extensive experience in industrial design and our knowledge of outdoor materials has resulted in a true collaboration – in all senses, for the senses.

The original Arc chair was designed to be sleek with a black powder coating. One day, before the piece was powdercoated, we were admiring the beauty of the raw aluminium – and of how the finish makes every chair unique. It raised a question: what if we kept the chair’s stunning original design but embraced the natural beauty of the aluminium? In collaboration with Tom, the new Arc was born.
